Seed to Sovereignty: Strengthening First Nations Drought Resilience on Country
KFDF wants to hear from First Nations communities, organisations, Traditional Owners and ranger groups interested in developing local projects that help strengthen drought resilience on Country. Expressions of Interest close 30 September 2026.
Your project could involve:
Caring for and restoring Country
Native seed collection, revegetation, sandalwood regeneration and biodiversity.Preparing Country for drought
Soil, water, fire and land management and other local approaches.Culture and knowledge
Cultural knowledge and practices, on-Country learning and sharing knowledge between generations.Building skills and opportunities
Ranger and community skills, youth participation, training and leadership.
These are examples only. We want to hear what drought resilience means for your community and Country.
You don’t need a fully developed project.
An Expression of Interest is the start of a conversation. You can come to us with an idea or community priority. If your idea is a good fit for Seed to Sovereignty, KFDF can work with you to develop the project together.
Who can express interest?
First Nations communities, Aboriginal organisations, Traditional Owners, ranger groups and other First Nations-led groups in Western Australia and South Australia.
